Christmas in Australia
I spent my second Christmas in Australia, Christmas just past. It was definitely different. There was no shopping on Grafton Street on Christmas Eve, calling into the pub ‘for one’ after, no ice skating or even cold weather!
Christmas 2015 was definitely different.
We started Christmas morning off opening presents and playing with our three dogs. I was very lucky to receive a voucher for my Padi Diving License which will be something to work towards, Pandora charms, a dress, books and some Chanel make up. We then went for a swim on the beach. It was just lovely to lay out on the beach and feel the heat of the sun.
I didn’t have any cooking to do this year as we were invited over to friends of ours for Christmas Dinner, which was delicious and super relaxing.
I was pretty home sick on St Stephens Day/ Boxing Day so I didn’t get up to much. My partner went to the Newcastle Races.
Over New Year we went up to Forster and stayed in a house overlooking the beach which was really beautiful. We went to the local RSL club for the count down. I think the DJ actually forgot to count down as they literally just played through New Year. Still, a great night. It was also lovely to spend New Year morning on the beach. Here’s a couple of photos of what myself and Colm got up to…
