Want super soft feet? I do!
I’ve read heaps of reviews about a product called MilkyFoot and then when it was mentioned on beauty group I’m a member of, I had to try it. I was warned repeatedly that it was really gross but oh so worth it so that’s my warning to you.
Keeping reading at your own peril!
I picked up my box of MilkyFoot in my local Priceline in Greenhills. It cost about $30 and at first I didn’t hold out much hope for this. The packaging didn’t thrill me, in fact, it looks oddly similar to the powder I pour down the drain to clean out the limescale in my washing machine… but I’ve always been a believer in don’t judge a product by its packaging.
So what is MilkyFoot?
According to medicalsearch.com.au, “Milky Foot’s active ingredient ExMilac (Milk Ferment Filtrate) removes hardened skin, softens cracks and calluses and moisturises your feet. Within 5-7 days of applying Milky Foot, hardened skin effortlessly peels away. The whole process takes about 2-3 weeks and the result is milky soft feet. Milky Foot’s unique active ingredient ExMilac works by using enzymes that help break down the hardened protein in dry, scaly skin. Milky Foot also contains additional exfoliating agents; alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) to help break down dead skin cells, amino acids to moisturise the skin and herbal extracts such as Aloe Vera, Calendula and Camomile to soothe and calm the skin”.
So does it work?
I slipped my incredibly icky footsies into the MilkyFoot booties almost 2 weeks ago now. The instructions state that you must wear them for an hour and that your feet must be flat down on the ground. So I did just that. The booties have a gel in them which you then wash off after the hour so don’t take your booties off until you are in the bathroom and ready to wash your feet!
The process is supposed to start within 3-5 days. I’m such an impatient person that I spent the entire week checking my feet to see had the peeling started. It hadn’t. I think everyone was starting to get over me complaining that my feet weren’t peeling. YES, I WAS THAT GIRL!
But then on day 5, in what felt like a miracle, the peeling finally started. At first, I was a little grossed out but kept telling myself, smooth, fresh feet would be worth it, but then it became kind of addictive because this wasn’t just your average sunburn peel. It was almost like a sheet of skin were coming off in one go. Yes, GROSS, but my feet felt amazing. So soft underneath.
The whole process was actually a little bit therapeutic.
I’m delighted with the end results – so very glad to have finally started peeling after 5 days and to finally have soft smooth feet!
