The Great Global Bucket List
I was gifted a copy of this book from the lovely folks at Affirm Press. I’m so happy I was!
As you will know, if you are a regular reader, I LOVE to travel.
I’m fortunate to have traveled all over the world. I have been quad biking in the Sahara to visit the Bedouin people, watched the Maasai Warriors dance in Kenya and skydived with the Cuban military in Cuba to name just a few adventures.
Some of the countries I have visited include:
-France
-Spain
-Germany
-Austria
-Egypt
-Barbados
-Maldives
-Kenya
-Switzerland
-Turkey
-Andorra
-Australia
-Hungary
-USA
-Cuba
I could keep listing but it’s much more exciting to plan your own travels. I am a strong believer in adventure. There is a whole world out there waiting to be explored.
As you can imagine when Robin Esrock’s ‘The Great Global Bucket List’ landed on my desk, I was excited! It can be so difficult trying to plan trips and figure out exactly what you want to do in which country. This book is basically a travel lovers dream.
From the Amazon jungle to the beaches of Zanzibar, this book presents the world that we often don’t hear about.
Some of my top picks from the book are:
Volunteer with rescued elephants in Thailand
Sandboard down an active volcano in Nicaragua
Swim in the Devils Pool in Zimbabwe
Cruise up the Yangtze river in China
If you are planning some travel, this book is a must read! There are so many suggestions, you are guaranteed not to be bored.
One of the things that struck me when I was flicking through this book, is the amazing photography. I don’t know why I am surprised, after all, Esrock’s stories and photos have been published in major publications worldwide including National Geographic, The Guardian etc.
While my photos don’t compare, here are a few piccies from my adventures.
