A couple of months ago, I received a copy of Hannah Tunnicliffe’s latest lastest work of food fiction, “Season of Salt & Honey”, which was beautifully presented.
I love nothing more than a good book, a bath, some candles and a glass of vino at the end of the day so this was right up my street – any excuse to break out the bath bombs!
‘Seasons of Salt & Honey’ tells the story of Frankie Caputo who has it all figured out when the sudden loss of her high school sweetheart throws her life into chaos. Drowning in grief, she accidentally sets upon a beautiful journey of discovery.
Tunnicliffe describes beautifully the world Frankie lives in, from the descriptions of the mouth watering Italian food right down to nature, I couldn’t put the book down because I felt like I was almost there. It’s very rare that I invest so much in a character.
If you’re a fan of cooking, the book also has some very tasty recipes!
This book is not what I expected at all. I couldn’t put it down. Highly recommended.
