A little while back, I was pretty disappointed with Bellabox which you can read about here (I actually cancelled my subscription after their #selfie box came with a neon office highlighter – beauty product I don’t think so!), (they have since lifted their game which you can read about here) so I found myself looking for a new beauty box. I came across Marie Claire The Parcel which had amazing reviews. It’s $25 per box (as a seasonal subscription) and comes out quarterly.
I was really impressed with my Winter Edit box which contained the following:
OPI Nail Lacquer, which retails for $19.95, L’Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes So Couture which retails for $27.95, Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Aid which retails for $15.95, Estee Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Creme sample, the full size retails for $80 but there is plenty in the 30ml sample, 3 Neutrogena Hydro Boost Masks, a pack of 5 retails for $25, John Freida Beach Blonde Cool Dip Purifying Shampoo, Smooth Seas Detangling Conditioner and Ocean Waves Sea- Salt Spray Samples, full size products retail at $16.99 and finally a Woolworths Select Quick & Easy Nail Polish 30 Removal Wipes which retails at $2.
In the box, I received 6 sample items which were sizeable samples! The only thing I probably will not use that much is the OPI nail polish but I do have a girlfriend that loves the colour orange so I now I have a future home for it. I have also never tried Lanolips but I have heard so many beauty bloggers talk about them so I’m looking forward to trying it. I am a big fan of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost range so I know I will enjoy the masks.
The sea salt spray is also the perfect size for your handbag. If you are anything like me, and have fine hair, you will know how important a bit of texture is in your hair.
All in all, this beauty box has impressed me immensely. It’s great value for only $25.
I’d imagine, it’s also quite hard to create a standard beauty box which caters to the tastes of so many different women but it appears that Marie Claire know their audience and I for one, am most definitely looking forward to their next box arriving on my doorstep.
