BOOK REVIEW: The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty
I could NOT put this down!
I have never read any other books by Liane Moriarty so I wasn’t sure what to expect when reading this one.
The book tells the story of three women who are all connected but each have a different path. The main characters aren’t particularly likable but the book really made me think.
Without giving the story away, I loved the plotline. The author managed to entwine the characters and tell their stories beautifully -the repercussions of a lie, a betrayal and a secret.
I found myself imagining myself in each characters position and even imaging if this happened in real life. How well do we really know those around us?
There were many shocks and surprises in this novel and some pretty twisted karma.
I only wish the cover was a little more attractive and the main characters a bit more likable. While I was reading this, I really wished the female leads were all a bit more badass. I could see why they made the choices that they made but I did wish in some parts that they had made different choices. Although parts of the book were also quite predictable.
Overall, The Husband’s Secret is a gripping, suspenseful and a very well-written story.
