It’s been a while since I posted anything. My lovely boyfriend whisked me off on a long trip home to Ireland for Christmas to spend time with family and friends.
Just before I left, I had the opportunity to try the Brite Organix One Day Colour and their hair shadow. Both are a temporary hair colour. As you can see the packaging is super cute! It definitely made a great first impression on me.
I was really excited to try this especially now as festival season is well and truly in full swing. I had a little google of Brite Organix before I applied and was delighted to see they are an ethical vegan company which are accredited by PETA (so obvs don’t test on animals – wahey)!
It was really really so easy to apply both the one day colour and the hair shadow. I applied both directly on dry hair. The colour is instant so you can see what and where you are applying which is always the difficult part if you are not colouring an entire head.
While I loved the product, it came out very subtly in my hair. This was in no part down to the product but rather as I have balyage in my hair which is quite dark. In the interests of showing the product properly, I also had a friend of mine with blonde hair try the one day colour, which came out beautifully in her hair.
The problem with trying these temporary colours are the same as with colouring any hair colour. You have to work with the hair colour you already have. What works on one head doesn’t always come out so bright on another!
Next time, I think I’ll give purple pastel a miss and maybe try some bright pink as I think that will be a lot less subtle. If you are looking for some temporary colour that is subtle enough you can wear it to work and have darker hair like me then this is probably your man! I have to say, I am a total one day colour convert now and most definitely a #britebabe. I love that with 15 minutes to spare you can totally change your look without making a permanent change to your hair colour. #love.
Brite Organix is available in loads of colours and is far from expensive at:
