What I Wore: Black Halter Swimsuit
I decided to hit the beach on Australia Day. Redhead beach in particular! It was really peaceful and very beautiful. What does one wear to the beach? Why a swimsuit, of course!
One thing I don’t love about going to the beach is choosing what to wear as over Christmas when I posted a picture of myself in a bikini to Insta I got called fat by a heap of Asian men which upset me. So, I’ve been covering up but also embracing my inner goddess.
I chose to wear this 70’s plunge halter from ASOS. I styled it with this jersey wrap skirt in khaki green which is also from ASOS. And NO, this post is NOT sponsored by ASOS. I just find it tough to find good quality affordable clothing in Australia in the area I live so resort to online shopping quite a lot. The swimsuit cost me $16.50 and the skirt was $17 – both in the post Christmas sale. The skirt also has a slit up to the thigh which I found really handy on the beach. Instead of taking the skirt off, I just swung it around to the side and when I had had enough sun, I just covered back up.
This was such a comfy outfit that I popped online and purchased the skirt in navy for only $13.50 (Yay for sales!).
I wore this denim shirt over my swimsuit to stop my shoulders from burning in the car. It also featured in my last post which you can read here. It’s from Jeanswest and cost about $60 18 months ago.
I also brought along Lucinda Riley’s The Seven Sisters which is the first book in the series. I was sent the second book in the series – The Storm Sister – to review (which you can read here). I loved it so much I bought the first book myself from Booktopia.
