What I Wore: Girly Cocktails
I wore this cute outfit out for drinks with my girlfriends last Easter Sunday night. We started the evening in Hotel Delaney and after a wander around the streets, found ourselves in King St. Who would have thought that Newcastle, NSW, shuts up shop at midnight on a Sunday night. Having spent so many bank holiday nights out in my hometown of Dublin, where bank holidays are huge money earners, I was really surprised. I thought perhaps that Newcastle would be similar in that some pubs would stay open later on a public holiday.
King st. is always a bit of fun, but we got lucky and managed to skip the queue when the VIP host very nicely let us in. The queues at King St hotel are always so long that if she hadn’t, we definitely would have gone home early. The great thing about King St Hotel is that you can pretty much wear anything. I’ve seen girls in beachwear to dressed up on a night out so anything goes.
So here’s what I wore:
Top – ASOS
Pants – Mango Ireland – these are really old! I picked them up when leather look leggings were ‘in’ about 6 years ago, but they are super comfy and can be dressed up so easily.
Boots – ASOS
Necklace – ICE Designs
Black Bandeau Top – Penneys Ireland
