A couple of weeks ago, I attended a christening of a friends baby in Coffs Harbour. It really was a beautiful day.
Myself and Colm travelled up on the Saturday morning with friends of ours and their kids. Travelling for 5 hours with a young baby was definitely an eye opener. I have a new respect for the love parents have for their children. I don’t know if I would have the patience to continually entertain a child for hours on end, the way myself and Colm watched our friends do. The say it’s different with your own children so I really hope it is because I get awkward around children when I run out of things to say!
We spent the weekend staying in a friends apartment which was right off the jetty in Coffs Harbour. Looking out the window, we had beautiful views of the water.
After we arrived on Saturday, we decided to go for a walk into Coffs for dinner and settled on a Chinese restaurant – Golden Crown – on the jetty strip. We had a beautiful meal and cocktails there. I would highly recommend it if your looking for somewhere local to eat.
On Sunday, we drove to Boambee Reserve for the Christening. Read about what I wore here. We had a really great day. The weather was nothing short of glorious. I, of course had my camera to hand… The kids were only happy to pose for a few pictures.
When I’m behind the lens, I love capturing those small candid moments of happiness. I’m not a big fan of posed photos of children. I find they look really stiff and would 9/10 rather be having fun playing games outside. I loved the pictures I shot at Boambee Reserve. The kids look like they’re having so much fun.
