What I Wore: Denim on Denim
I went along to Florence and the Machine at the Opera House last weekend. My Dad, very kindly gave me a gift voucher for the Opera House for Christmas. I wanted to wear this outfit but there was torrential rain forecast for the evening so I reconsidered and ended up wear the outfit above. I’ve never been a fan of matchy matchy outfits which is what I think of most of the time when I see denim on denim and it’s the exactly same shade. I don’t mind it too much when the shades of denim are different, which is what I was aiming for. Super casual and comfy.
I really like the floral detail on the top which is sleeveless but has a cuff on the shoulder. It’s from this season’s range in Cotton On. My skinny jeans are by Levi’s which I picked up in Just Jeans. I paired these with boots I picked up on my trip to Adelaide, which you can read about here, in Rubi Shoes. If you follow me on Insta, you will have caught a glimpse of these before. The sides of these are open and just have two buckles to keep them together.
Not ideal footwear for wet weather, but definitely needed for the heat. Florence & the Machine were amazing live. I’d highly recommend going to see them if you ever have the opportunity. We really enjoyed the performance despite the rain. Samsung, one of the sponsors, actually passed out plastic ponchos which were gratefully received by everyone.
