What I Wore: Wedding Guest
I recently had the pleasure of attending a wedding in Ireland, in Ballyseedy Castle in Tralee, Co. Kerry. I really wanted to wear something different so I chose this gorgeous dress by Lipsy London, which I purchased on ASOS. The colour varies from coral to orange in the light which was perfect for an October wedding in Ireland. I love the fact the dress is high necked, full length and also just a bit sexy.
I didn’t book any of my appointments, my partner’s sister did so I’m not 100% sure where I got my hair done in Tralee but I did get my makeup done in Expose Beauty Lounge.
The hardest thing about getting ready for weddings for me is my hair as it is so very fine that if I style it myself, it doesn’t really last. I purchased some hair extensions in Hairspray in Dundrum in the days before the wedding to give me more length and volume. The girls in there are great and matched me straight off. I also had my hair coloured before the wedding in Sin E in Greystones, Co. Wicklow.
When I was having my hair done, i wanted something that was away from my face during the ceremony but that if the pins got too much, I could unpin and it would still look good, which I think was definitely achieved.
I wanted simple make up as my dress was so bright. I opted for a brown smoky eye and nude lip. I did touch my makeup up with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette and I used the Urban Decay setting spray to keep it in place all night. I highly recommend both products – they definitely both work for me!
All in all, I had a really great night.
